Latest Trends

It’s hard to imagine anything more uplifting than the arrival of spring. Our mood brightens, and we can literally lighten our homes by letting the sunshine flood in from the outdoors to bring a room out of its winter gloom.

So if you want to update your home’s appearance but don’t have the time or budget to redecorate completely, think about starting with your window treatments. Every window should make a statement and here we bring you some of this season’s hottest trends.

Luminious pastels

Eye-popping and vibrant, bright colour combinations fly in the face of muted palettes and concerns about the economy! It’s time to stand out from the crowd and wake up your senses with cobalt blue, tangerine, lime, coral and fuschia pink, with ideally at least two of them clashing!

Grey is the new beige

It’s been a strong colour in fashion for some time and whenever a colour steals a march on the high street, it’s inevitable that it also makes its way onto the interiors scene. It’s a neutral that works just as well in both traditional and contemporary homes but for 2012 expect to see it teamed with intense colour combinations like teal and shocking pink that will put the idea of neutral as boring completely to rest.

Rule Britannia!

With Britain celebrating the Queens Diamond Jubilee and hosting the Olympic games this yearwe believe there is no better time to show our pride and excitement about what it means to be British. So go loud, proud and patriotic with a Union Jack roller blind or a classic combination of red, white and blue.

Rise and shine

Prepare for a break-out of Magpie Syndrome as a desire for all things shiny grips the nation. But we’re not talking bold as brass, metallics in 2012 are softer and more subtle so consider gold and silver, pewter and bronze for a more individual take on the trend.
