You might have spotted this series before. The idea is simple – we take a look at a handful of our customers’ homes and pinpoint some design tips. Because they’re seriously stylish folk, you know. Maybe you’re one of them?
1. Homely doesn’t have to mean bricks and mortar
When a change in circumstances put a halt to Ellen’s extension, she didn’t sulk as many of us might have. Instead, Ellen had a good think outside the box, and decided on a garden structure to fulfil her needs. Some cosy Pleated blinds and a few touches here and there, and her outdoor space is just as homely as the extension she originally wanted.
2. Mix blind types
Lesley and Pete mixed two different blind types – Rollers and Pleated – in their kitchen, and the result is oh-so gorgeous. If you’ve two different window problems them don’t be afraid to choose two different blinds. Some of our Roller and Vertical blinds are even available as coordinating fabrics.
3. No window too small
Sometimes, people leave windows undressed as they think they’re too small. Ella showed that even the smallest of windows can pack a punch with the right pattern. This striking cube design gives style to the tiniest room of the home.
4. A little metallic goes a long way
Andy’s living room featured cool blues and greys and white Fauxwood blinds. And that pop of copper in the lampshade takes things to the next level. Whether it’s rose gold or silver that tickles your fancy, it doesn’t take much to make a big difference.
5. Go grey for a serene scheme
Grey’s the coolest neutral for a reason. It goes with nearly everything, and it makes for such a serene scheme. Helen chose grey curtains and combined with a neutral kitchen and walls, the look is simply perfect.
