Last year, we featured Charlotte’s tranquil Moroccan-inspired bedroom in the family home. Now she’s moved out with her partner, Simon, into their own flat, we catch up with her and take a look at how blinds from Web-Blinds fitted into this home.
Charlotte’s kitchen is bold and striking – black high-gloss units dominate the space, while wooden worktops add a touch of warmth.
“After moving into the flat, we wanted to add our own stamp to the typical beige rental décor,” says Charlotte. “We started by adding some fun ornaments like our wooden chicken and bright green glass cups, but the window always looked empty.”
It wasn’t just looks that was bothering Charlotte and Simon. They noticed something else when the sun went down…
“Once it started getting darker earlier, we noticed that you could see directly into the kitchen of the flat opposite. Of course, that meant they had exactly the same view of ours!
“To get our privacy back, we decided blinds were the best choice.”
Having already used Web-Blinds for her previous bedroom, Charlotte knew exactly where would deliver for blinds.
“We decided to go for Wooden blinds. I loved the look of wood with tape, so it was a simple choice. The dark blind goes perfectly with our dark kitchen.
“We’ve kept the theme quite dark throughout – we even bought a black washing machine to match, because we just couldn’t imagine a white one sticking out like a sore thumb!
“We’re hoping to buy our own home next year, and when it comes to blinds we’ll know exactly where to come!”
