Earlier in the week we featured Andrew’s stylish home office. This time, we’re featuring Charlotte’s home, along with her tranquil beauty room. Take a look at a second example of how working from home doesn’t have to mean scrimping on style.
Charlotte has a part-time beauty business that she runs alongside her day job. It’s a great way for to her to earn a little extra cash, as well as pursue her passion. And the spare bedroom was the perfect setting.
Vertical blinds hung from the window, but they weren’t quite working for Charlotte. The window sill is a really useful space to store beauty products, so the hanging slats got in the way.
“I wanted an alternative to my Vertical blinds,” says Charlotte. “I needed to be able to shut out the road and create a relaxing space for my clients.
“My friend down the road had recently had Wooden blinds with tape, and I couldn’t believe how amazing they looked. I asked her where she’d got them from, and she told me about Web-Blinds.
“I loved the shutter-like effect – they look so classy. And I knew I had to have them for my beauty studio too.
“My partner, Andy, measured and fitted the blinds, finding the instructions really easy to follow. I’m a massive perfectionist and I can confirm, it really doesn’t look like he put them up!”
Of course, Charlotte needs somewhere to unwind at the end of a long day, and the living room and bedroom are two lovely spaces to do just that. And they too got the Web-Blinds treatment…
“We wanted everything to match at the front of the house to improve the kerb appeal,” says Charlotte, “so we went for Wooden blinds for the living room and front bedroom too. They look brilliant – and our cat likes to squeeze in front of them for a better view of the street!”
