First-time-buyer Andy wanted to get things right when he decorated his new home. And that’s where a stylish suite of Fauxwood blinds from Web-Blinds came in.
When you’re buying your first home, there’s a whole host of expenses to come, especially if it’s a period property. So when Andy purchased his terrace in Nottingham, he was keen to keep costs down so he could do as much as possible.
“I like clean, simple lines, so I knew I wanted all my window dressings to match. Choosing white Fauxwood allows me to mix up my rooms as I please without having to change my blinds,” says Andy.
Lots of our customers choose Fauxwood blinds as they have all the look of real wood, but are great for those on a budget. And the timeless design means they’ll go with a whole host of different spaces from contemporary to more traditional.
Andy’s style has a more modern vibe – we’re swooning over those grey and copper lights – and the simple Fauxwood blinds complement the look perfectly.
“Eventually, I’ll layer curtains over the blinds in the living room and bedroom for added interest and to help me sleep. But for now they look nice on their own,” says Andy.
Andy’s enjoying getting stuck in to the creative side of owning his own home – but how did he find the practical part of measuring and fitting?
“I had a bit of a mishap measuring the first time around,” says Andy. “Luckily though I’d taken out mismeasurement protection which meant I got all my wrongly measured blinds replaced for free. It was invaluable and I’m so glad I did it!
“Fitting them was really easy. After all the wallpapering and painting, drilling a few holes to fit my blinds was a welcome break!”
