Hayley’s sociable extension gets a Web-Blinds makeover

We (and the rest of the nation) are swooning over open-plan living spaces at the moment. And Hayley’s extension is seriously enviable. Take a look at her gorgeous kitchen-living area, and see how Web-Blinds ticked all the boxes.

You can’t beat open-plan for family-friendly spaces. And that’s why Hayley’s home works so well for the whole gang.

An extended kitchen had long been on Hayley’s wish list, and completing it earlier this year was a dream come true.

Hayley switched the old kitchen to a new utility room – so now the galley-style space has become an all-singing, all-dancing space to hide away the unsightly appliances.

Edit 1

“All this extra space is brilliant,” says Hayley. “We took care to get the details just right, from the underfloor heating (which is so efficient we can’t believe it) to the off-cut of worktop we used as a window sill.

“Because our old kitchen is still in situ as our new utility space, we’re still using the oven! So at the moment, we joke our new one is nothing more than a showpiece.

“It took us about three months to put the finishing touches on the spaces, and part of that was blinds. We found the best selection at Web-Blinds.”

Edit 2

When it came to the patio doors and kitchen windows, Hayley wanted something super practical. And that’s when she found Perfect Fit blinds.

Edit 3

They’re the perfect choice for the narrow window panes of the doors, as well as the tiny window above the sink. And now they’re fitted, they offer brilliant privacy and light control.

“They were so easy to fit,” says Hayley. “I managed to do them all by myself, and I’m not DIY-minded!

Edit 4

What about the living area? The comfy corner sofa called for something soft and luxurious – so Roman blinds were the obvious choice. And a gorgeous neutral blind called Geometry Taupe caught her eye.

“The Roman blinds were up in an instant too! I’m so pleased with the whole room. It’s the Grand Designs space I’ve wanted for so long.”
