After moving in in the New Year, Sarah wanted to add a touch of glamour to her barn conversion, while still remaining sympathetic to the gorgeous period features. Luxurious new Roman blinds from Web-Blinds helped to finish the look…
“Being a barn conversion, there’s lots of exposed wood and brickwork,” explains Sarah. “We wanted to pick a colour scheme that would complement these features.
“Both my partner and I love the colour grey. It’s far from boring with a huge variation in shades! We started with the grey sofas and worked from there.
“The look we were trying to achieve was a timeless eclectic mix. I am a bit of a magpie, attracted to subtle glitz and glamour. I’m also slightly addicted to lanterns, while my other half loves rustic and antique pieces.”
Having used Web-Blinds at her previous property, Sarah knew exactly where to come when it came to updating the tired Roller blinds in the living room.
“We didn’t hesitate to put blinds from Web-Blinds on the to-do list. We knew from our previous experience that the advice on the website made it easy to measure up and straight forward to fit. Roman blinds are a must for me – I just love the softness and folds they create.”
Sarah ordered three samples and instantly loved a fabric called ‘The Great Waltz’. She’d wanted grey, silver and a lighter base colour, and this design ticked all the boxes. And when her blinds came, she was just as delighted.
“Because I ordered three blinds for the same room, Web-Blinds automatically matched up the folds and pattern. It’s a small detail that makes all the difference, as two of the windows are next to each other and identical.
The whole look comes together nicely with Sarah’s cat, a Silver Tabby, finishing off the look perfectly. It’s almost as if he inspired the décor scheme – which Sarah jokes, he may just have done!
“Next, we have the hall and master bedroom blinds to order and a shutter for the bathroom so the tape measure will be out again soon!”
