How to choose blinds to suit your feature windows

Windows come in all shapes and sizes. And that’s the beauty of made-to-measure – there’s something to fit practically every window. Take a look at our guide to dressing your feature windows, from bays to skylights.

Bay window

Bay windows are lots of people’s favourite window features and it’s easy to see why. One way to dress them is by adding snuggly Roman blinds to them to finish off the windows. They’re fully-lined for a cosy and luxurious feel.  For privacy, try blinds with slats like Venetians or Verticals.

Corner windows

Corner windows are an unusual feature that allows the light to flood in – you’re benefiting from the light from two different aspects. In this jazzy bedroom we made the most of the beautiful windows and made a punchy statement with this Barcelona Orange Roller blind.

Roller blinds are great for tight spaces and rooms where light is at a premium as they fold up really neatly, taking up very little room at the top of the window.

Window seats

If you’ve a window seat, chances are you like to gaze out and watch the world go by. That means something like a Roman will block your view. But you probably don’t like to feel exposed either. A blind with slats is the perfect choice, as we’ve shown here with Wooden blinds. Tilt the slats slightly to stop people from seeing in, but still enjoy the view and the light that streams in.

Skylights

With more and more of us opting for extensions, skylight windows are popping up across the country. We offer a range of blinds to fit all types of skylight windows including Velux®. But while they’re great for flooding rooms with loads of natural light, sometimes you need to keep that under control – in a bedroom for example. – Here, we’ve showcase a white blackout fabric – simple yet stylish.

Conservatory side windows

Perfect Fit blinds are, well, the perfect partner to conservatory side windows. They simply clip into your uPVC window frames (we can barely believe how easy it is either) and it’s as easy as that. It’s a great way to make a feature of your windows and to enjoy targeted light and privacy control.
