Laura’s light and airy upstairs spaces

In the second part of our two-part series, we take a look at Laura’s light and airy upstairs spaces.

Upstairs, Laura’s Scandi theme continues. The master bedroom, nursery and guest room all share a fresh feel with crisp walls. And when it came to the blinds, she knew where to go…

“We were so impressed with the quality of our living room blinds, we didn’t see the point in shopping around. So we ordered some samples from Web-Blinds.

“In our previous rented place, we had a travel blackout blind in Florence’s room which not only looked horrible, but didn’t really do the job. We knew we wanted blackout blinds throughout upstairs.

“We were immediately drawn to the subtle geometric design of the Diamante fabric for our bedroom. And when it came to choosing blinds for the other rooms, we decided we liked the fabric so much we’d go for a uniform look in the whole upstairs space.

Both Laura and her partner James loved the look and feel of the fabric and they knew it would add a little luxury to the bedrooms. The blinds fit snugly in the recess to create a neat and uncluttered finish.

“The fabric even looks lovely as nursery blinds for Florence. It allows us to add colour and fun in other ways, and will grow with her.

“The tent in the corner of the nursery is just one way we’ve added fun. She loves it – she’s always keen to show it off to visitors!”

There is one problem with the blinds in the master bedroom in particular, Laura says. “Sometimes I don’t wake up! It seems the blackout lining is a little too good!”
