We love it when a room comes together, and Saira’s kitchen fits the bill perfectly. Take a look at how a pretty Roller blind finished the look.
Saira’s style has a vintage, retro flavour, and that definitely comes through in her kitchen. American diner signs are paired with gorgeous floral motifs and delicious ice-cream shades. Which meant that broken off-the-shelf blind at the window just wasn’t cutting the mustard.
“I’ve never bought a made-to-measure blind before,” says Saira. “In the past I’ve always bought off-the-shelf options, but one day I got fed up with them breaking easily and never fitting quite right. That’s when I looked for an online retailer and came across Web-Blinds.
“The kitchen is at the front of the house, nearly directly onto the street, so without a blind it really was like living in a goldfish bowl. Especially when the nights draw in, I used to feel like everyone could see my business.
“I ordered a selection of samples, but one floral design jumped out at me immediately. The chintzy pattern tied all of my fun accessories together, and spiced up my neutral kitchen units.
“My taste in interior design makes me think I should have been born in the 50s!”
“The blind was up in 20 minutes – it really was dead easy and dead quick. I’d always thought off-the-peg options were the easier choice, but with no struggling to make it fit, made-to-measure really was a doddle.”
