Roller blinds are oh-so-versatile as customer Sally found out. Take a look at her timeless living and dining rooms – and how the perfect pattern at the window finished them off.
Sally’s living room sits at the front of the house, which means it’s overlooked. But with the sunny south-facing position, it also means the temperature is a problem. When the sun shines, the room was becoming practically unusable. And Sally also felt the dining room window at the back of the house felt a little bare.
“I already had curtains at the window,” says Sally. “But no one wants to sit with their curtains closed in the middle of the day.”
And that’s when she found the perfect solution at Web-Blinds. She decided to go for a Roller blind, as though they’d help to control the light, they wouldn’t block it out completely. And adding them to both the dining room and living room spaces means that through-rooms have a uniform feel.
“My new Roller blinds make it really easy to block as little or as much light as I want to, which is brilliant all year round,” says Sally.
The Roller blind has an added benefit in the winter too.
“With my electric radiator under the window, I don’t like to close my floor-length curtains in the winter, which was proving quite an issue as the nights get darker. This way, I can use the curtains to dress the window, while the Roller blind is a practical solution that makes sure we’re private and cosy.
“Before, even in the winter, the sun could be blinding on the sofa. Now it couldn’t be more different!
“The blinds were easy to fit; I was so impressed. Child safety was really important to me too. We have a young granddaughter, which means it was great to see that the systems were so secure, and equally easy to fit as the blinds themselves.”
We love it when a plan comes together – not only has Sally bagged herself a pretty little addition to her living spaces, but she’s made them more practical in the process. And her cat looks pretty chuffed with them too!
