Looking to update your kitchen? Helen’s contemporary space is sure to inspire. Take a look at how stylish grey Roman blinds finished off the look.
“My partner Nigel and I renovated the kitchen about four months ago,” says Helen. “It’s an old house and this would have been the servant’s quarters. It’s part of an ongoing renovation of our whole home.”
Though the pair loved their crisp new units and contemporary dining area, they felt it was missing something at the window. Initially, they considered Wooden blinds but eventually decided on Roman blinds as they felt it softened to the minimalist theme of the rest of the kitchen.
“We chose these gorgeous grey blinds from Web-Blinds and they finish off the space perfectly,” says Helen. “They’re warm and cosy when they’re down, but they let a lot of light in when they’re pulled up.
“It’s a really great design – the colour couldn’t be better! They also fit absolutely perfectly, like a glove.”
Nigel fitted the blinds with another family member – so how did they find fitting blinds above a sink?
“Fitting was no problem at all,” says Nigel. “It was really easy in fact! We felt a real sense of achievement when we’d finished.”
And it’s easy to see why – the whole space looks more like a showroom than a family home! Everything from the colour of the walls to the blinds themselves go perfectly. So what next?
“With such an old house, there’s always work to do!” says Nigel. “Next on our list is the hallway.”
