Back in November, Zoe and Dan shared their copper dining room with us. Now their living room is finished, and they came back to Web-Blinds to complete the look.
“Our living room is a blend of both of our personalities,” says Dan. “We chose mustard yellow as an accent colour to the charcoal and dove grey walls and picked out soft furnishings and accessories to match.
“We like to shop around and would rather hold out for the right thing. We’ve chosen the art on the walls gradually, and held out for a great deal on things like our shelving unit and fireplace. Both were surprise finds from Lidl!”
With the pair fans of all things great value, it’s no surprise that when it came to choosing their blinds, they came straight back to their tried and tested find.
“The previous owners of our house only had curtains at the window,” says Zoe. “The living room is at the front of the house and with a very large window over 2.5m wide, we felt like we were living in a goldfish bowl.
“We knew we wanted blinds with slats so ordered some samples from Web-Blinds. The Chic White Fauxwood blind had a lovely texture and contrasted beautifully to our grey walls. It was brilliantly affordable too.
“My Mum made our curtains and with the cost of the fabric, lining and curtain pole alone, the blinds were half the price. Our Fauxwood blind was definitely money well spent.
“We tend to keep the blinds down and tilt the slats as we need. The added tape is a lovely touch too – we have had a few friends ask if we had shutters at first glance from the outside so they definitely add kerb appeal!
“Before, when we just had curtains, we were closing our curtains before it was dark just for a bit of privacy. This way, we can make the most of the light without feeling that every dog walker is staring at us! They’re one of my favourite elements of the whole room.”
