I'm not sure what kind of blinds to choose. Can you help?

Happy to. Here are a few pointers to get you started. You'll need to think about:

  • The room
  • Your colour scheme and furniture
  • The size of your window
  • How much control over light and privacy you want
  • Whether you want a special feature, like blackout or waterproof finishes

I'd like blinds for my conservatory. Can I order online and are they difficult to fit?

You can order blinds for the sides of your conservatory. Vertical blinds, Venetian blinds and Pleated blinds are all great for the job. Is yours a uPVC conservatory? Then you might want our Perfect Fit blinds. These clip into the window frame, so there's no drilling and no chance of ruining your sealed units.


What type of wood are your Wooden blinds made of?

Our Wooden blinds are made from basswood, which is grown in sustainable forests. Basswood is strong but flexible, so it's the perfect material for wooden blinds.


How wide can you make a Wooden blind?

The maximum width for our 50mm Wooden blinds will vary based on whether you’re ordering real wood or faux wood:

  • The largest maximum width for faux wood is 259cm
  • The largest maximum width for real wood is 240cm

Can I have a cord instead of a wand with my vertical blind?

Yes, as soon as you have placed your order and received your order number please contact our customer services team on 0845 604 9611 and they can amend this for you, or place the order by telephone.


Do you sell net curtains?

No, sorry. But you can choose a sheer fabric from our Roman or Roller blinds ranges. The look is much more modern (and dare we say it, much nicer!).


Do you sell blackout blinds?

We sure do. You can go for Roller blinds in a blackout fabric or add a blackout lining to one of our luxury soft fabric roller blinds. All of our Roman blinds (apart from voiles) can be fitted with a blackout lining, and our DuoShade pleated blinds are a great blackout option. You could also pick a blackout fabric from our Vertical blinds collection for a softer dim-out effect.


Are any of your blinds good at keeping the heat out in summer?

Sure. All blinds can block the sun's glare and stop the heat in a room from getting unbearable, but blinds with a thermal lining (and our DuoShade pleated blinds in particular) are really good at this as they have a special reflective coating.


Do you sell washable fabrics?

We recommend dry-cleaning only for most of our blinds, but you'll find some care guidance here. Or you could choose a PVC fabric - you can easily wipe these clean.


What products would you recommend for a child's bedroom?

You can choose all sorts of big, bright and beautiful designs for a child's bedroom. A blackout option is a good idea, because it will help your child stay asleep in the morning. All of our blinds are strictly child-safe, some by design and others with additional child-safety components.


Do child-safety devices come with your blinds?

Some of our blinds are child safe by design, so don't need a device, but all of our blinds with cords or chains come with child-safety devices to keep them out of reach and under tension. Blinds with looped cords feature breakaway devices that snap under pressure (but are easily fixed).


Will I have to fix a child-safety device to the tiling around my bedroom window?

You will, but you have alternatives. Go for a control and chain-free design, like Perfect Fit blinds.

Can I review the items in my basket?

Of course. Click to go to your basket (it's in the top-right of your page). You can increase or decrease the quantity of multiple blinds, or remove them from the basket altogether if you need to change the details.


How do I order a sample?

While you're browsing our fabrics, just click on the free sample button. We'll send you a piece of the fabric and you can see how it looks in your home. Order up to 10 samples totally free of charge!


The page I'm trying to see says there is an error. What does this mean?

It would be good if you could send us an email with a few details. Include the address you’re trying to access, the content of the error message, and let us know what browser you’re using.

Orders and Deliveries

What is your refund and returns policy?

Sorry we can't offer you a refund for a made-to-measure blind, because each of these is tailored to a specific window.

To prevent mistakes, you should follow our measuring guides, take care entering your details, and check everything is right on your confirmation email. If there’s anything wrong with the details then make sure you contact us straightaway so that we can sort it out.


Can I change my order once I've submitted it?

You can, so long as we've not already started making your blinds. We’ll give you 4 hours (15 minutes for Next Day orders) before we process the order to make any changes. After that time, give us a call 0845 604 9611 ASAP and we will see what we can do.


What time will I receive my delivery?

The courier services we use vary, but in general their delivery hours are from 08:30 to 18:00, Monday to Friday.


Can I change my mind about which side the control is on?

Ideally you should be sure when you place your order, but don’t forget you have four hours (15 minutes for Next Day orders) to make changes after you place the order. With Vertical blinds, you can change the side yourself by simply flipping the headrail, and with roller and Roman blinds the controls can be unplugged and swapped to the other side.


I bought two Wooden blinds and they look different to each other. Why is this?

Each piece of wood is unique, with slight differences in grain, pin knots, tiger striping, burl figures etc. So all our Wooden blinds are subtly different.

If you're after a uniform look, then go for our fauxwood options.


Why does my blind look different to the swatch on the website?

If you've chosen a large patterned fabric, it might not always be possible to see the full pattern on a fabric sample. So it's a good idea to look at the picture of the blind at a window on the site to get an idea of the scale of the pattern. Colours can also look different depending on the screen you’re viewing (different smartphone or tablet screens, computer monitors, brightness, colour and colour settings, etc.) to how they look in the window, and the lighting and colours in the room can have an effect too. Always order a sample to double check before placing your order.


Can I track my order?

You can use our online order tracker to log into your order and check the status any time, and we'll send you email updates as and when the order progresses, including an email to let you know when your order is ready to be dispatched from our factory. You'll be able to click on a handy link in that email to check when it's out for delivery too.


What if I'm out when my delivery comes?

You can tell us a safe place for the delivery person to leave your order by giving our customer service team a call on 0845 604 9611. If you don't do this, the delivery person will leave a card and try again on another day.

Measuring and Fitting

Do you offer a measuring and fitting service?

No, we’re supply-only, which means you measure and fit the blinds yourself. Our website is full of handy guides and videos on both measuring and fitting.


What's the difference between an exact and recess blind?

Well exact blinds are made to the exact measurements you entered. Exact blinds generally go on the outside of your window. Recess blinds go in the recess of your window, and we make small adjustments to your measurements so that your blind will fit perfectly.


My window is an awkward shape. How do I measure for my blind?

You can give us a call 0845 604 9611 and one of the team will be happy to talk you through the steps.


Will fitting instructions be included with my order?

Yes. Some blinds will come with instructions in the box but we will always email you a copy so you can download and familiarise yourself with them before your new blinds arrive. Also, you can watch videos and read guides here on the site.
